You're invited to five upcoming sessions on the issue of Equitable Land access. The 2023 Dolores Events calendar is out, and a fun summer is in store. And help for those helping others. Equitable Land Access is the focus of five public meetings being hosted by conservancy groups in Cortez beginning March 27th. La Plata Open Space Conservancy. The old fort at Hess Brous and Montezuma Land Conservancy make up the Southwest Colorado Equitable Land Project, and it's inviting you to the first of five meetings at the first National Bank in Cortez for a listening session about the challenges and possible solutions related to land access. The session runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will focus on connections to land, needs for equitable land access in our region, and creative solution models. You can sign up to the project's mailing list if you can't make the meeting but want to stay up to date. Dolores River Fest kicks off the Dolores summer calendar of events. Dolores has released its summer events calendar and the list is full of familiar festivities like the River Fest, and Escalante Days. River Fest is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 3rd. The Dolores Summer Fest car show is set for Saturday, July 15th, and Escalante Days returns in August. Food Truck Fridays runs June through August at fourth and Riverside, and the farmer's market will take place on Wednesday evenings this summer at Flanders Park. You can see the full list of events at visit Dolores.com. Hospice of Montezuma will host a caregiver support day on Tuesday, March 28th for those caring for a loved one. The schedule includes discussion panels and guest speakers on a variety of topics, including pain management, community resources and self-care, among others.
