Carute Roma Brings Gypsy Tunes to the Sunflower Theatre this Saturday

The Sunflower Theatre is celebrating two decades of music with local band Carute Roma on Saturday, November 16th at 6:30 p.m. Mancos Public Library is holding an evening of land education titled, “Our Common Ground: Why You Cannot Fence the Forest” on November 20th featuring author and professor Dr. Andrew Gulliford. The Mancos Art Market will be held on Sunday, December 1st from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at several locations around Mancos. Zu Gallery’s monthly Four Corners Writers Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. By Rachel Hughes. The band, Carute Roma, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this month with a special concert. Mancos Public Library is hosting an evening of land education. And mark your calendars, Mancos Art Market is coming up on December 1st. ZU Gallery is calling all writers for its monthly workshop. The Sunflower Theatre is celebrating two decades of music with local band, Carute Roma, on Saturday, November 16th. For the band's 20th anniversary, the show will feature songs on the band's current lineup, traditional Gypsy Roma tunes, as well as originals, along with special guest Alexil Carey, Sunny Gables, and Lisa Sumi. Visit the Sunflower Theatre website to purchase tickets today. Doors will open at 6:30 PM with the show set to begin at 7:00. Mancos Public Library is holding an evening of land education on November 20th. Dr. Andrew Gulliford, a professor of history and environmental studies at Fort Lewis College as well as an award-winning author, will be presenting on the history of public and private land in Montezuma County. The presentation titled, "OUR COMMON GROUND: Why You Cannot Fence the Forest", will begin at 6:30 in the community room. Save the date, the Mancos Art Market will be held on Sunday, December 1st, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The market is designed to encourage the community to give the gift of local art or art classes this holiday season. Markets will be held at Fenceline Cider, Mancos Opera House, and galleries and shops in Downtown Mancos. This will be the fourth year of holding the Mancos Art Market. While artists registration has filled up, artists can join the wait list on the Mancos Creative District website. ZU Gallery's monthly Four Corners Writers workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The event is free to attend and open to writers of all experience levels and all genres. Participants are also invited to help select topics for future workshops.
