The Cortez Fire Protection District is hosting a Halloween party on Thursday, October 31st at the Firehouse from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Trick or treat bags and candy will be handed out, along with a spooky house and games set up at the Firehouse. ZU Gallery is hosting its 15th annual Monster Mash Costume Party on Thursday the 31st, starting at 7:00 p.m. The event is free and will feature a DJ, door prizes, photo booth, and signature costume contest. Mancos Valley Resources is preparing for Christmas with its 27th annual Mancos Giving Tree. Families that would like to receive gift assistance for the holidays can fill out a print or digital application. Applications must be submitted or turned in no later than Friday, November 1st. This year, the Mancos Giving Tree will be supplying gift cards so that parents and caregivers can purchase what their families need.
