The US 550 Paco Billy Wildlife and Safety Improvements project was recently completed, marking the end of several construction projects along the US 550 corridor, dating back to 2022. Enhancements include additional passing lanes, widened shoulders, intersection realignments, as well as improvements with wildlife vehicle safety. CDOT reported that in the past 10 years, about 50% of crashes between points 109 and 119 were related to wildlife.
