The Town of Dolores has put out a call to artists of all ages for a new logo design. With three age categories available, there’s a chance for everyone to show off their design skills. Submit your design by the end of December, and the winning logo will be announced Jan. 31, 2025. The Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to the annual community holiday gathering Thursday, Dec. 12 at Moondog Cafe and Bakery. Originally released earlier this year, the coloring book is a result of a partnership between Cortez, the LOR Foundation, the Cortez Retail Enhancement Association, the City of Cortez Public Arts Advisory Committee, and the Historic Preservation Board. The book features artwork by over 20 local artists with 34 pieces available in a physical copy available for purchase at the Montezuma Heritage Museum and the Cortez Cultural Center. You can also download a free copy online. The Town of Dolores is looking for a new logo, and it wants to see your design. There are three categories for artists, kids 8 and under, youth 8 to 18, and adults. Submit your logo designed to the Town of Dolores by December 31st, and the winner will be announced January 31st. The design should be square or circular, no uneven shapes like ovals or rectangles, and it should reflect the Town of Dolores in some way, and any color is acceptable.
